One of the most fascinating sets in sports card memorabilia, were issued by the Goodwin & Co. tobacco firm in their Old Judge and to a lesser extent Gypsy Queen cigarettes. For baseball sports memorabilia enthusiasts here is another baseball artist, Paul Lempa. His art speaks for itself. It is beautiful, detailed and a treasure for sports collectors.
Lempa was inspired by George Sosnak, a minor league umpire, who used india inks to decorate over 800 baseballs. The art was intricate, and yet very raw.
